Customer story: Salesforce enablement

How a B2B team saved around €245k a year on Salesforce

A B2B company rolled out Salesforce to several hundred sales and operations users, but adoption stalled. Key features went unused, support tickets piled up, data quality slipped, and formal training did not stick. MeltingSpot deployed a Learning Agent inside Salesforce to train and guide users in the flow of work, and generated around €245,000 in measurable annual value.

The problem: training that lived outside the tool

Before the project, users struggled daily. Several high-value features were under-used, recurring how-to questions drove a heavy support load, business rules were skipped, and data quality suffered. Training material existed, but it was disconnected from the moment of real use, so it was forgotten within days. The company was paying twice: once for support, and again for lost productivity and informal help between colleagues.

The approach: train and guide inside Salesforce

A six-hour diagnostic mapped around 40 friction points, 10 under-used key features, and 10 critical processes that were misapplied. MeltingSpot turned each one into in-app training and guidance, matched to the problem to solve: explain, show, or train. The device combined user segmentation by role and level, a First steps on Salesforce learning path triggered on first logins, an Adopt AI path for advanced users, around 40 contextual tooltips, roughly 10 short video tutorials, and a set of micro-learnings. Most content reused existing documentation, so the whole build took about 14 hours and went live progressively, starting with a pilot group.

The results

Across roughly 400 users and 5,000 yearly support tickets, the in-app device cut usage-related tickets, accelerated adoption of advanced features, reduced formal and informal training time, improved data quality and process compliance, and lifted user confidence. The ROI below is built on conservative assumptions and the client's real data.

Annual ROI breakdown

€50k / year

Support: a 50% reduction in usage-related tickets, about 2,500 tickets avoided at €20 each.

€153k / year

Productivity: about 10 minutes saved per user per week across 400 users, valued at €50 an hour.

€42k / year

Training: 5 fewer hours per new joiner thanks to in-app learning paths, plus lighter ongoing training for existing users.

≈ €245k / year

Around €612 per user per year, against a MeltingSpot cost of under €120 per user per year.

This case is reproducible. The problems are common, the method is standardized, and the device is light to deploy and quick to pay back. The biggest gains did not come from more training, but from less friction, right where users work.
